I hold a Masters in Education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and a BA in Creative Writing from Pitzer College. I joined Village Community School in 2021 and currently serve as Upper School English Teacher, 8th Grade Advisor, and English Department Coordinator. Please find my teaching philosophy here.
From 2016-2018, I served as a teaching artist in NYC public schools. In grad school, I studied the arts in education and worked as a web-based teacher for Write the World.
From 2019-2023, I served as an English teacher for Oliver Scholars.
I have studied under writers Claudia Rankine, Jamaica Kincaid, Jonathan Lethem, and Teju Cole, and continue to write privately.
I am a Zen student and received Jukai in 2023 from Kosen Greg Snyder and Shingestu Laura O'Laughlin at Boundless Mind Temple. I live with my family in New York City.
